Anastasia. 11 years old

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Anastasia’s father, Denys Kyryliuk, led a Su-27 aircraft out of the air and rocket fire. Thanks to his decisive and skillful actions, the combat aircraft was redeployed to an operational airfield. Denys successfully destroyed enemy ground equipment and anti-aircraft missile systems, and took a direct part in the liberation of Zmiyinyi Island. As an experienced pilot, he defended Ukrainian skies from invaders and flew more than 80 combat missions. Denys was not only a hero on the battlefield, but also a loving father to his 11-year-old daughter Anastasia. She was his pride and support, and he always dreamed of a bright future for her. Anastasia was looking forward to her father’s return, but in March 2023, Denys went on his last eternal flight while performing another mission. Denys Kyryliuk was a man of honor, looked up to by the younger ones and respected by the older ones. He became a true symbol of courage and bravery, and his loss is a bitter blow to everyone who knew him. Although Anastasia has lost her best father, she will always remember him as a hero who gave his life for the future of Ukraine.
