Description

Detailed analytical M&A report on the CyberTech sector in Ukraine Despite global trends, the Ukrainian cybertechnology market is slowly recovering and has limited startup activity. – The Ukrainian cybertech sector is still in its infancy and there are no unicorns in it yet, unlike the more developed FinTech and EdTech industries. – Over the past 4 years, the sector has recorded 5 deals totaling $39 million, gradually occupying the niche of advanced threat protection and artificial intelligence integration. – The most active year for the cyber technology industry in Ukraine, as well as around the world, was 2021, when two significant deals totaling $18.5 million were made. These deals were made by SOC Prime ($11 million) and Scalarr ($7.5 million). – Despite the global recovery in cyber technology, the Ukrainian sector is still feeling the effects of the 2022 recession. Only one deal per year, both involving Osavul, worth $1 million in 2023 and $3 million in 2024, indicates a slow market recovery and a limited number of startups. – Despite the small number of deals, Ukrainian cyber technologies are attracting both local and international investors, which underscores their significant potential in the global cybersecurity market.
